The National Bank of Ukraine has sent a letter of explanation to all domestic banks obliging them to accept electronic register excerpts received by citizens or legal entities, as well as their paper counterparts, according to the information made available by the press-office of the Ministry of Justice.
The document says that according to the procedure for retrieving the data from the uniform register of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, as approved by the Ministry of Justice, executive order No.466/5, dd. March 31, 2015, the information stored in the public register may be given by public registrars in both paper and electronic form.
In addition, similar documents can be obtained by citizens without a permit of the public registrar, via the official website of the registry services administrator, in the form of electronic documents.
Most importantly, paragraph 2 of the said order, in accordance with the provisions of the Law of Ukraine On Electronic Documents and Electronic Document Management stipulates that extracts, excerpts and reference letters in paper and electronic form have the same legal force.
To get a reference letter, extract or excerpt from the public register it is necessary to fill out the form on the new website of the Ministry of Justice new.minjust.gov.ua.
The whole procedure takes only a few minutes. If desired, the documents can be multiplied; an unlimited number of copies can be printed.
