The Parliament has allowed increasing land rentals for letting public and municipal property. 247 deputies voted in favour of amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine on limiting rentals (draft bill No.2640), LigaBusinessInform reports.
The document stipulates that land rentals, namely for leasing property owned by the state or municipality, cannot exceed 12% of the monetary value if the leases will be granted on a competitive basis.
The changes to restore the norm stipulating that the rent for land plots owned by the state and municipality can exceed 12% of the monetary value will be reinstated if a tenant is determined at the land auction, as far as this can increase lease proceeds into local budgets.
