Yanukovych signs a draft law
President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has signed draft laws «On Amending the Tax Code of Ukraine concerning the registration of persons as taxpayers» and «On Amending the Law of Ukraine «On state registration of legal entities and individuals-entrepreneurs» to simplify the registration of persons as taxpayers» , the press service of Ministry of Revenues reports.
Starting next year, in order to register as a payer of VAT or single tax, future entrepreneurs do not need to go to the tax office. All documents will be filed with the state registrar at registration of a legal entity or an individual-entrepreneur. After that registration service will hand over a copy of the statement to bodies of the Ministry of Revenues, without involving the payer in the process.
«In future we plan to stop using VAT payer certificate and replace it with an extract from the register. Immediately after registration the payer's data will appear on the official website of the Ministry of revenue and duties. Entrepreneurs will have unlimited and, most importantly, free-of-charge access to this register», said the Minister of revenue and duties of Ukraine Oleksandr Klymenko.
He said the extracts could be ordered received and submitted to public authorities and contractors electronically.
Every entrepreneur shall be entitled to be a single tax payer right upon registration, provided they are not VAT payers.
Also, when starting a business, voluntarily register as a payer of VAT will be possible without the presence of any amount of taxable transactions.
