U.S. Department of State Special Representative for Ukraine is going to arrive to Kyiv in November, but the visit date has not been determined yet.
U.S. Department of State Special Representative Kurt Walker plans to visit the country in November, he stated during interview with Interfax-Ukraine, published on Monday, October 29.
“Yes, next month. The concrete date has not been determined yet, but I am looking for time in my calendar”, Walker said, responding to the journalist’s question regarding his visit to Ukraine.
Last time, Walker was in Kyiv in September, when he participated in the forum “Yalta European Strategy” as well as met with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
Previously, Kurt Walker stated that the gas price increase in Ukraine will contribute to reforming the energy sector of the country. In addition, in his opinion, the agreement between the International Monetary Fund and Ukraine about a new 14-month program of the economic support policy stand-by, amounting to 3.9 bln dollars, will contribute to the budget consolidation and continuing the reforms program.
