This innovation will take effect on April 22
The government of the Czech Republic has passed a decision to simplify the procedure for issue of the short-term visas for the Ukrainians, Channel 5 reports with citing the statement made by Press Secretary of the Czech’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Johann Grogov.
Since April 22 all citizens of Ukraine who are of Czechs heritage, young adults up to age 26 and retirees older than 60 will be released from payment of consular dues when getting a visa.
If a person who has filed a visa application can furnish proof of being descended from Czech, such person can apply for getting a multiple entry visa that will be valid for one year. The European Union is planning to enter changes to its visa regulations. Probably, a new type of visas will be introduced, the owners of which will be given a permit to travel throughout the countries the Schengen visa covers during a year, with the possibility to extend a visa for one more year.
