On January 18, on Intercontinental Exchange Brent oil prices dropped to 27.72 USD per barrel, as it is reported on the exchange’s site, UNIAN reports quoting Reuters.
This is the lowest level since 2003. Experts suppose that such oil price drop is connected with lifting sanctions against Iran.
“Currently Iran can sell as much oil, as it wants, to whom it wants and at price it can”, - the director of Columbia University Center on Global Energy Policy Richard Nephew said to the agency.
It should also be noted that soon Brent price increased to 28.65 USD per barrel.
Yesterday UNIAN reported that Iran intends to urgently increase oil export by 500 ths barrel per day. It is noted that the country plans to increase export by half a million barrels more per day in the coming months.
