The messenger WhatsApp, which is owned by Facebook, cancels the annual subscription fee in USD 0.99, Prime reports.
The CEO of WhatsApp, which has the audience of about 900 mln users, explained this step by the fact that subscription fee does not work as it was intended, it can make a wrong impression on the user as well as not everybody has debit and credit cards for payment.
The company plans to make up for the loss of profits with the help of functions, which will allow such giant organizations as American Airlines and Bank of America communicate with users as per their request. But these ideas are still at early stage of development.
