The International Monetary Fund has warned that the global economy continues to weaken and become extremely vulnerable amid sharp turmoil, Economic Truth reports quoting the Fund’s report.
As IMF experts explain, the downturn happens amid the growing financial instability and drop in asset prices.
According to the Fund’s report, the growth of largest economies is slowing down, and the slump in demand makes the process of recovery of economic growth more difficult.
The report of the International Monetary Fund was published on the eve of the meeting of ministers of finance and governors of central banks of the G-20 member countries, which will take place in Shanghai this week.
IMF also warns that all forecasts for the economic growth can be disturbed by the instability on markets, the drop in crude oil prices and geopolitical conflicts.
Previously the IMF downgraded its forecast of the global economy growth. According to the new forecast, as per results of this year its growth will be 3.4%, and in 2017 – 3.6%.
