On March 4, EU Council prolonged for one year the restrictive measures against Victor Yanukovych and 15 his associates, as it is said in the statement of EU Council, European Truth reports.
As it is noted, the sanctions have been prolonged against persons, who “are responsible for illegal appropriation of Ukrainian state funds and abused their powers that led to the loss of state funds”.
“One of the surnames has been excluded from the list of persons, falling under the restrictive measures”, the document says.
As it was previously reported, it is about the Ex-Minister of Healthcare Raisa Bohatyreva.
The decision on prolongation of sanctions will come into force since the day of publication in the EU Official Journal on March 5, 2016.
As EU Council reminds, the sanctions against Yanukovych and his associates were imposed in March 2014 and prolonged in March 2015.
