FBI eavesdropped the conversations of the Ambassador of Russia to the United States Sergei Kislyak and Trump’s Advisor Michael Flynn; but it did not find anything «improper», RIA News reports, quoting NBC and some sources.
Previously, US mass media reported that Flynn and Kislyak spoke over phone on December 29, when the Barack Obama’s administration imposed the next package of anti-Russian sanctions. The anonymous sources of TV channels asserted that the investigators not only conduct investigation of this case, but also study if other members of Donald Trump’s team shared secret information with Moscow.
According to NBC source, some formal investigation of contacts between the Russian embassy and Flynn, who occupied the post of US President’s National Security Advisor last week, was not conducted. On the contrary, intelligence agencies «just eavesdropped some phone conversations», the interlocutor of TV channel said.
FBI does not comment any information on any investigations.
Previously, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Sergei Ryabkov said that the agency does not discuss daily working contacts with colleagues from the USA and other countries. According to him, Washington speculatively plays with the topic of contacts of Donald Trump’s team with Moscow and intimidate themselves with «Russian threat».
