US President thanked the alliance for supporting US attack on the Syrian military base, Correspondent.net reports.
US President Donald Trump said during the press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that after NATO started fighting with terrorism, the alliance stopped being “obsolete”.
Trump thanked Stoltenberg and alliance member countries for supporting US missile attack on the military base in Syria.
“I told that it (NATO) is obsolete. It is not obsolete any more”, US President said, noting the actions of the alliance against fighting terrorism.
It should be reminded that previously US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson assured NATO allies that the USA is committed to the principles of the alliance.
