The USA does not plan to participate in the conference on Afghanistan, which will be held in Moscow on April 14, Spokesperson for the United States Department of State Mark Toner said, INTERFAX.RU reports.
“We do not plan to participate in these regional negotiations, which will be held tomorrow, on April 14, and which were organized by the Russian authorities. However, in general, we support regional efforts (to solve the problems of Afghanistan), the work with Afghani government”, he said, adding that Washington is ready to cooperate with Moscow as well as other key parties on this matter.
As reported, the multilateral consultations on Afghanistan, the main topic of which will be the national reconciliation in the country, will be held in Moscow on April 14. On Wednesday, RF Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov told that Moscow expects that US representatives will come to this meeting.
