Democrats in U.S. Congress want to directly hear from the son-in-law and the presidential advisor Jared Kushner the explanations regarding the information about his intention to create the secret communication line with Russia, Correspondent.net reports quoting AR agency.
“He needs to report on what happened at that time”, Member of Committee on Foreign Relations of U.S. Congress Cory Booker said.
AR also informed quoting the source that Trump’s team came out against the creation of secret communication line after nominating Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
Kushner’s attorney Jamie Gorelik previously noted that her client is ready to answer FBI’s and Congress’ questions about his role in the Trump’s election campaign on the case, relating to the ties with Russia.
It should be reminded that U.S. President’s Advisor for Homeland Security Henry McMaster said that Kushner’s attempts to set up a communication line with Russia for Trump to become the President.
Previously, The Washington Post informed that during the meeting with the Russian Ambassador to the United States Sergei Kislyak, Kushner proposed setting up the secret communication line between Moscow and Washington.
