Google, Apple and Microsoft became the most valuable global brands, according to the annual rating WPP and Kantar Millward Brown, RNS reports.
The first three most valuable brands did not change versus the previous year; however, their cost increased. Thus, in 2017, Google’s brand costs $245.58 bln versus last year’s $229.2 bln, Apple increased its cost from $228.46 bln to $234.67 bln, but Microsoft — from $121.82 bln to $143.22 bln.
The top ten of BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands rating also included Amazon, Facebook, AT&T, Visa, Tencent, IBM and McDonald’s. Verison left the top ten; Tencent replaced it in the top ten.
For the first time the rating also included Snapchat (93rd place), YouTube (65th place) and Netflix (92nd place).
The total cost of all brands from the rating amounted to $3.64 trln, having increased by 8% versus the previous year.
