Trump demanded from Maduro to immediately release the Venezuelan opposition leaders.
U.S. President Donald Trump condemned the actions of President of Venezuela Nicholas Maduro against the opposition and demanded to immediately release its leaders Leopoldo Lopez and Antonio Ledezma, Correspondent.net reports.
“The U.S. condemns the actions of Maduro’s dictatorship. Mr. Lopez and Mr. Ledezma are the political prisoners, illegally kept in detention. The U.S. considers that Maduro – it was publicly announced several hours ago that he will speak out against the opposition – bears personal responsibility for health and security of Mr. Lopez and Mr. Ledezma, and other prisoners”, - according to Trump’s statement, issued by the White House Press Office.
