Lavrov and Tillerson planned a meeting on the sidelines of UN General Assembly. Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov and United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson discussed cooperation on Syria and the progress of implementation of Minsk agreements, Ukrainian News reports.
During the meeting in Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to United Nations, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson discussed cooperation on the Syrian crisis, the situation on the Middle East and the progress of implementation of Minsk agreements on the regulation of the situation in Ukraine, Official Representative of Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova told.
“On September 17, there was a meeting between RF Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Tillerson. The parties discussed the cooperation on the Syrian crisis and other aspects of the situation in the Middle East and North Africa as well as the progress of realization of Minsk agreements”, she said to the journalists as per results of the meeting.
