Trump is asked not to terminate the nuclear agreement with Iran. The European Union supports continuation of complete and effective fulfilment of all parts of the agreement.
The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the European Union supported the nuclear deal with Iran, claiming that the agreement works and is the key element of non-proliferation efforts, thus opposing to Donald Trump. The ministers approved the respective statement on Monday, October 16, Correspondent.net reports quoting Associated Press.
Thus, EU supports continuation of the complete and effective fulfilment of all parts of the agreement.
The ministers noted that the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed eight times that Iran fulfils its obligations.
“At the moment of acute nuclear threat, EU is determined to keep agreement as the key basis of international non-proliferation architecture”, the ministers noted, emphasizing that they view Donald Trump’s decision “within the context of intra-American process”.
The ministers also emphasized their hope that U.S. Congress will not call into question the agreement and will ensure its fulfilment.
