Stronger economies disagree
Eurogroup members have discussed creating a common fund of immediate assistance to EU banks, RBC-Ukraine reports.
As noted by head of the Eurogroup Jeroen Dijsselbloem, the meeting highlighted only technical details of this issue; no final decisions have been adopted.
However, many countries with stable economies, such as Germany, oppose this initiative, fearing that they will have to spend taxpayers' money to assist banks in countries with weaker economies.
