Winston Churchill and Jane Austen will bring new "face value"
Bank of England intends to change the look of 5 and 10 pound notes, as stated on the Bank’s website.
In 2016 a banknote with face value of £5, featuring Winston Churchill, will be issued.
Churchill's photo to appear on the money was made 30 December 1941 in Ottawa. The banknote also will feature the Palace of Westminster and Big Ben. Moreover, in the background there will be a medal awarded to Churchill as the Nobel Prize winner for literature in 1953.
10-pound notes, up for release in 2017, will bear a portrait of writer Jane Austen and Godmersham Park in the background.
