Regardless of extension of the sanction list, Washington wants to develop stable relationships with Moscow.
The high-ranking representative of the Department of State informed that U.S. will continue to use the Magnistsky Act as the pressure over Russia, Correspondent reports quoting RIA News.
“We consider that RF seriously perceives the Magnitsky Act. We will continue to use it for exerting pressure over RF in terms of the observance of human rights”, he noted, explaining that the sanctions relate to the freezing of assets and U.S. entry ban.
Despite that, the Representative of the Department of State that U.S. intends to develop stable relationships with Russia, in spite of extending the list of Magnitsky. He also expressed hope so that RF government “will view the violation of human rights in more detail”.
