Chief Executive Officer of Apple Tim Cook will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump in the White House to discuss the menace for American business, posed by U.S. - China trade tensions, Bloomberg reports, quoting the White House meeting schedule, RBC-Ukraine reports.
Reportedly, previously, the Chinese Communist Party’s newspaper published the list of U.S. companies, against which China may impose tariff and other restrictions.
This list also included iPhone manufacturer.
According to Bloomberg information, the meeting between Trump and Cook will be held behind the closed doors, without admission of press representatives.
It should be reminded that U.S. prepared new import duties for Chinese products, declaring the protectionist policy of Beijing.
In response, China prepared the list of measures, which will affect about 40% of U.S. import. In particular, the duties may be raised for food products, cars and airplanes.
The trade conflict between two largest global economies can become the biggest one in the history of the world.
