Tesla filed the lawsuit against the former employee Martin Tripp, accusing him of theft and illegal transfer of company’s data, CBNC reports.
The lawsuit against Tripp says that he developed software, using which he hacked into several computers on Tesla production facilities and obtained access to data, which represented the trade secret, including dozens of photos and videos from production systems.
Tripp transferred obtained data to third parties. The lawsuit does not specify whom they were transferred to.
In addition, Tesla accuses the former employee of spreading false information in mass media. In particular, Tripp stated that the company uses the defective batteries during assembly of Model 3.
The company demands from the employee to reimburse damages, amounting to one million dollars.
It should be reminded that CEO of Tesla Elon Musk told the employees about the sabotage in the company, when some of this employees hacked into the internal production management system and transferred important data to third parties.
