Stock indexes rose
European stocks extended gains on Monday, 16, due to improvement of the economic situation in Germany. Germany’s manufacturing PMI rose to a 30-month high of 54.2 in December. It is reported by Bloomberg.
On Monday, the British stock market index (FTSE 100) rose by 1,28%;
French Stock Index (CAC 40) rose by 1,48%;
The German stock index (DAX) rose by 1,74%;
Spain's key stock index (IBEX) rose 1,69%;
Italy's stock index (FTSE MIB) rose 2,34%.
Despite the recovery of the major stock exchanges in Europe, investors remained cautious ahead of the Federal Reserve policy meeting scheduled later in the week.
