PediPower is a new phone charger
Students from Rice University in Michigan (USA) have developed PediPower shoes that can generate enough electricity to charge your iPhone, report the US media.
The way PediPower work is that at walking a special nozzle converts kinetic energy into electricity. Taking a step, you press the lever on the heel, and it sets in motion mechanical gears of the generator producing electricity. Then the energy is stored in a special unit, which can be used to charge your iPhone.
The prototype device can deliver an average of 400 milliwatts.
