WhatsApp will stop supporting the smartphones with outdated operating systems.
The support of outdated devices will be halted on June 30.
WhatsApp will not be updated on outdated smartphones, fitted with Blackberry OS, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40 and Symbian S60. It is expected that the application itself will operate for some time; however, it will stop receiving updates on June 30, on what it is noted in the official messenger’s blog, Correspondent.net reports.
In addition, it is reported that on February 1, 2020, the support of application on Android 2.3.7 smartphones and tablets will also be stopped. Currently, these devices occupy about 0.8 percent of Android gadgets in the world.
Previously, Correspondent.net reported that Microsoft will stop maintaining Windows 7, encouraging users’ transition to updated operating systems, in particular – Windows 10.
