Direction of "Gazprom" believes that Ukraine will ask for a delay
Ukraine is to pay the debt for Russian gas consumption. The amount of debt as of January 1, 2014 was calculated under the old price, as reported by ITAR-TASS.
The new agreement on reducing the cost of gas has come into force from January 2014 for a period of three months. Under this agreement, 1 thousand cubic meters of gas will cost $ 268,5. Last year, Ukraine bought Russian gas at $ 400 per 1 thousand cubic meters.
Continued discounts on gas will be discussed at the end of each quarter.
