5 times excessively large staff
The Chair of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeria Gontariova is aiming to restructure the financial institution she is heading; the reduction in personnel will be the key point of the reform, RBK-Ukraine reports.
«Changes to the NBU structure won’t be cosmetic or superficial. We will apply a systematic approach. Our counsellor is the Central Bank of Canada... We have not only examined the experience of Canada, but we’ve got acquainted with the best practices the central banks in the world have in place. First of all, it is necessary to get rid of non-core strictures, which are odd ones out in the NBU, for example, the TV channel or sports complex», - said Gontariova in an interview.
She added that the reform will touch not only non-core assets but all structures of the bank.
