The draft declaration was registered under №4498

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine endorsed the Declaration On Liberation of Ukraine. This document is registered under №4498, the statement of the Verkhovna Rada says. 

The Declaration states:

«On March 18, 2014, President of the Russian Federation signed the so called Agreement on Accession of Crimea and Sevastopol City to the Russian Federation. In the pompous atmosphere of the St. George’s Hall of the Kremlin, Russia threw out an openly undisguised challenge to the entire world, having violated not only current legislation of the sovereign Crimean Republic, but the fundamental norms of the international law set forth in the UN’s Charter, EC’s Charter, Final Act of the OSCE of 1975 and other resulting documents of  СSCE/ОSСЕ, treaty of CIS dd. 1991, Memorandum on Pledging of Security in connection with Ukraine’s accession to the nonproliferation treaty dd. December 5, 1994, between Ukraine, USA , Russia and the UK stating a non-nuclear status of Ukraine, Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Ukraine and Russian Federation dd. 1997. For the first time in the history of Europe, since the end of the World War II, the borders between countries have been cynically «redrawn » by a country that guaranteed the territorial integrity and inviolability of borders of Ukraine, what is set out in the multilateral and bilateral treaties. The only evident reason for having committed this international crime by the Russian Federation is that it strives to implement the notorious doctrine of «increment to the Russian world».

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine addresses the governments and parliaments of the world, international organizations and world public pointing out that the Ukrainian people will never recognize the annexation of the territory being its integral part – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, occupied by Russia that fragrantly violated the fundamental norms of the international law and universally recognized communal principles of living.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine addresses all members of the international community with urgent request to refrain from international recognition of the so called Republic of Crimea and annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol to the Russian Federation as new subjects with a status of federation.

On behalf of the people of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine announces that Crimea was, is and will be a part of Ukraine. The Ukrainian people will never, under no circumstances, cease struggle for liberation of Crimea from occupants, whichever hard and enduring this fight will be.
