Tax officers explain
According to the General Directorate of the Ministry of Revenue and Duties of Ukraine in Dnepropetrovsk oblast, it is necessary to have the individual license issued by the NBU to make the transactions listed below:
- export, transfer and remittance of currency assets abroad;
- import, transfer, remittance of the Ukraine’s currency from abroad;
- disbursement and receiving student loans in a foreign currency, if the loan tenure and amount exceed the limits set by the legislation;
- use of foreign currency in the territory of Ukraine as a means of payment or mortgage;
- placement of currency on the accounts and deposits outside Ukraine;
- investing abroad, including acquisition of securities.
Individual licenses are issued to residents and non-residents to make one-time transactions for the period necessary for performing such transaction.
This norm is set out in the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dd. February 19, 1993, No.15-93 On Currency Regulation System and Currency Control, as amended.
