Changes to the Rules of road cargo transportation
State Entrepreneurship Committee has examined draft order sent for approval by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine to amend the existing Rules of transportation of goods by road, informs the press service of Entrepreneurship Committee.
The draft law suggests removing the definition of «waybill» and leaving a consignment note (CN) the only basic document for automotive cargo transportation.
These changes are to bring existing rules in line with the Law of Ukraine «On Automobile Transport», «On Road Traffic» and «On Police», where waybill as a document required for control is already excluded.
The draft stipulates that transportation of chemicals and medications that are hazardous cargoes shall be in accordance with the applicable rules of automobile cargo transportation in Ukraine.
However, if this transportation is not governed by these Rules, it is made in accordance with the European Agreement on international road transportation of dangerous cargo and Rules for Road transportation of dangerous cargo.
Head of Entrepreneurship Committee Mykhailo Brodskyi supported the draft order «On Amendments to the Rules of automobile freight transportation in Ukraine».
