Draft law approved
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the bill on the legislative regulation of issuance of pension certificates to citizens of Ukraine. This was announced by Director of Department for Retirement and Social Protection of Disabled at the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine Mykola Shambir, says the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy.
The official commented on the approval by the government of the draft Law «On Amendments to Article 44 of the Law of Ukraine «On Mandatory State Pension Insurance», developed by the Ministry of Social Policy.
Mykola Shambir explained that currently the Pension Fund provides free of charge administrative services of issuing pension certificates to the citizens, as per Cabinet Resolution № 497 of 11 April 2002 «On performance of functions of appointment and payment of pensions by bodies of the Pension Fund». However, late last year the Law of Ukraine «On Administrative Services» came into force, which stipulates that main requirements for regulation of administrative services shall be established exclusively by laws.
«The adoption of this Bill will allow incorporating the relevant administrative services for the implementation of issuing pension certificates into the List of administrative services, which is determined by law. This, accordingly, will allow regulating on the legislative level the issue of pension certificates by the Pension Fund of Ukraine», he said.
