Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs John Bolton does not exclude participation of U.S. and other foreign energy companies in the natural gas production in Ukraine, he informed during meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman in Kyiv, August 24, finance.ua reports quoting ET.
“There are also the resources, which are produced here, in Ukraine, which extracts natural gas in the volumes, as I understand, sufficient for satisfying Ukraine’s own domestic need in natural gas. Probably, U.S. companies, other foreign energy companies will see attractiveness in intelligence and gas production in Ukraine”, Bolton said.
According to him, he held a "very interesting discussion" with Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman on energy resources and Ukraine's role in this area.
Bolton also noted that "this is a matter of the policy of the government of Ukraine - to look for alternative energy resources so that there is no dependence on Russia."
