By the end of 2020, Facebook intends to fully switch to renewable energy.
Facebook management announced plans to completely transfer enterprises to renewable energy sources by the end of 2020, korrespondent.net reports.
"Today, we commit ourselves to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 75% and ensure that our global operations are 100% renewable energy by the end of 2020," the company said.
Since 2013, the company has purchased more than 3 GW of electricity received from alternative energy sources: solar cells and wind power plants. In 2017, Facebook enterprises were 50% transferred to renewable energy sources.
Earlier, it was reported that Facebook started creating a satellite that will distribute the Internet from the Earth's orbit.
