US President Donald Trump called President of Russia Vladimir Putin in order to express condolences due to the terrorist act in St. Petersburg, RIA News reports, quoting the press secretary of President of Russia Dmitri Peskov. According to him, the Presidents of both countries expressed a common opinion that they need to fight with terrorism together.
“During the phone conversation with Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump expressed deep condolence to the families and relatives of the deceased as the result of the cruel terrorist attack in St. Petersburg, and asked to convey support to Russian people”, Peskov said. “Putin thanked his US colleague for expressed solidarity”, he added.
“Presidents noted that the terrorism is an evil, with which they need to fight together”, the press secretary reported.
According to Peskov, “Putin and Trump agreed to continue contacts”.
