U.S. Administration considers responsive trade actions against Beijing due to the alleged violation of U.S. intellectual property rights.
In his interview with Reuters on January 17, U.S. President Donald Trump said that he does not exclude trade war with China, Correspondent.net reports.
U.S. President hopes that U.S. will manage to avoid trade war with Beijing, but “if it happens, let it be so”.
In the interview with the agency, Trump and his economic advisor Gary Kon noted that China made U.S. companies to transfer their intellectual property as the cost of running business, and the loss from it is very high.
U.S. President emphasized that Washington considers a very big “fine” as part of the investigation of alleged violation of intellectual property in China, not specifying the specific figures.
It should be reminded that in August 2017, U.S. started investigation against the Chinese government on the violation of intellectual property rights.
