The online insurance can be implemented in Kazakhstan. The respective draft law, initiated by the National Bank, is considered by Majilis of RK Parliament, Chairman of National Bank of Kazakhstan Daniyar Akishev told during online conference, Today.kz reports.
“Unfortunately, the law does not allow insurance companies to provide services through online channels, because there are strict regulations. We analyzed the situation. During last two years, we have been working on the draft law on online insurance and have just proposed amendments to it for consideration by Majilis. About three fourths of Kazakh population has access to the Internet, and it expands access to insurance. It will be possible to obtain services online on all mandatory classes of insurance”, Chairman of National Bank of Kazakhstan said.
According to him, in case of approval of the law, it will be possible to conclude the insurance agreement remotely, electronically.
Daniyar Akishev also noted that 40 percent of insurance services globally are provided through the Internet.
