U.S. President Donald Trump prolonged sanctions against RF due to Kremlin’s subversive activities against Washington in cybersphere.
The wording of the order is posted on the official website of White House, ET reports.
“These significant harmful actions, associated with cybercrime, continue posing unusual and extraordinary threat to U.S. national security, foreign policy and economy. For this reason, the emergency state in the country, declared on April 1, 2015, should continue its action after April 1, 2018”, the order says.
Therefore, Trump prolonged for the next one-year term Obama’s order, which imposed sanctions against the persons, involved in cyberactivity, posing threat to U.S. national security.
Reportedly, U.S. intelligence services concluded that Russian hackers made cyberattacks on the servers of the Democratic Party before Presidential Elections of 2016.
