Russia and China will create the tourism cluster on the Baykal Lake. The relevant memorandum on cooperation was signed between the touristic operator “Grand Baykal” and Chinese company “Zhongjingxin”, INTERFAX.RU reports.
“It is planned not only to build the modern tourist attractions, but also create the attendant, based on modern technologies, transport and other multidivisional logistic infrastructure within the Baykal lake and adjacent territories, which is aimed at the qualitative tourist flow in the region”, - the press-office of “Grand Baykal” reported on Monday.
According to the estimates of Chinese experts, the forecast amount of investments into the project is about USD 11 bln. The obligatory condition of project implementation is the observance of ecological norms and requirements of legislation on protection of Baykal Lake.
“The territory of the former Baykal self-contained paper mill in Baykalsk is considered as the base for its realization”, - according to the message.
