Since March 6, the NBU has imposed strict limitations on use of cash by legal persons and individual entrepreneurs, the NBU’s resolution dd. 03.03.2015, No157, says.
In particular, the resolution envisages that:
- all cash receipts of legal persons (not only proceeds) should be handed over to the cash office of the bank, it is prohibited to fund spending of the government/other, except paying salaries and taxes;
- retail trade enterprises and public catering services can use the receipts only to pay salaries and taxes, buy farmers’ products, other use of gains is banned;
- if legal persons and individual entrepreneurs have settlement accounts, they can make cashless payments;
- for government spending, including business trips/other payments, the money can be obtained only with a cheque, moreover, the bank can decide whether a company or enterprise really needs cash.
