The police will not draw up reports on trading violations
The government has approved a draft law aimed at deregulation of relations in the markets. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 11 September, the press service of the Interior Ministry informs.
Adoption of the draft law will help reduce the number of inspections of business entities in markets, improve conditions for doing business.
Draft Law of Ukraine «On Amendments to Article 255 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences to repeal the powers of the interior bodies for drawing up protocols for violation of trading in markets» was developed by the Ministry of Interior Affairs.
The draft law proposed to deprive the police of the right to draw up reports on administrative offenses under Art.159 (Violation of trading rules in markets) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences.
At the same time the right to draw up the above protocols is solely with the officials authorized by the executive committees of village, town and city councils that establish and approve the rules of trade in the markets.
