Change in road transportation rules
The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine received a letter from the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation regarding the use of TIR Carnets in international road transportation, the press service of the Ministry reports.
According to the information received, the Federal Customs Service has decided to apply additional guarantee measures to goods transported through the territory of the Russian Federation under the Customs TIR Convention 1975, from 14 September this year.
At the same time the Federal Customs Service points out that changing the conditions of movement of goods does not lead to an increase in carriers and importers' expenditures, as it is expected that when choosing guarantees as a method of security for payment of customs duties, analogues the cost of such service will start at 1500 RUB.
The Ministry of Infrastructure asks carriers when planning transportation to/from the Russian Federation to keep this information in mind.
