Uber will pay 148 million dollars for concealing a gross violation of drivers’ data confidentiality in 2016, Reuters reports on Thursday, September 27, correspondent reports.
“The investigation continued for 10 months and detected a data leakage with 57 mln Uber accounts, among which are 600 ths driving licenses’ numbers”, the message says.
The court also obligated Uber to submit a quarterly report on any data security-related incidents within two years.
