VTB Bank filed a new petition of bankruptcy of Vitalii Chernomyrdin, allegedly the son of the former RF Prime Minister Victor Chernomyrdin, to Moscow’s arbitration court, according to the published court ruling – RIA News reports.

The petition was submitted to the arbitration court on September 29, however the court discontinued it for a while, because the bank attached the expired certificate from tax inspection on the presence or absence of the debtor’s status of individual entrepreneur. The court proposed the applicant to eliminate this violation until November 11.

On June 7, VTB Bank already submitted the petition of bankruptcy of Vitalii Chernomyrdin, born on November 1, 1962, in Orsk, Orenburg region. On that day, it was confirmed by VTB press-office that it refers to the son of the former Prime Minister of Russia, and some details were provided on the debt, constituting a ground for application to court. Later, the bank revoked its commentary.   

In several days, on July 10, VTB revoked the petition of bankruptcy of Vitalii Chernomyrdin in court. Then the bank’s press-office reported that the petition was revoked, because VTB received from the debtor “a constructive proposal on settlement of debt of the loan, disbursed under his personal guarantee”. The bank also noted that the parties are “in the process of negotiations on restructuring debts, disbursed by the bank”.

VTB press-office did not give any comments on the new application to the court with the petition of bankruptcy of Chernomyrdin.

The amount of Chernomyrdin’s debt to VTB is not indicated in court materials.
