The authorities discuss the gradual raise of pension age, starting from 2019, for men by three months per year up to the age of 65 years, for women – by six months per year up to the age of 60 months, according to the presentation of Head of Pension Fund of Russia Anton Drozdov – RIA News reports.
The possibility of raising the age for awarding social pension is also considered, for men by six months per year up to the age of 70 years, for women – by six months up to the age of 68 years.
Among other things, the Pension Fund suggests increasing the special employment term, required for awarding pre-term pension of state employees.
It is expected that due to these measures the load on the federal budget until 2030 will decrease by 638 billion rubles (from 2.5% GDP to 1.4%).
Now, in Russia, men retire on pension at the age of 60, women – 55. In October, Minister of Labour and Social Protection Maxim Topilin claimed that there is no decision on raising pension age, but, eventually, this issue will need to be settled.
