Sberbank became the most expensive Russian brand according to the international annual rating Brand Finance, as per the bank message, RIA News reports.
Sberbank was also the only representative from Russia, which was included in the list of 25 most expensive banking global brands.
For the last year, the cost of Sberbank’s brand increased by 27.5%, reaching 11.6 billion dollars.
“The high position of our brand in the international rating is the assessment of efforts of our whole team on service improvement. The new strategy of Sberbank Group development for the period by 2020 provides for adding flexibility, speed and client focus, based on the implementation of new technologies”, CEO of the Bank Herman Gref noted.
The Russian companies Gazprom and Lukoil also entered this ranking.
As per IRFS, the net profit of Sberbank for nine months of 2017 increased by 44% - to record 576.3 billion rubles. As per the results of the year, Sberbank planned to earn more than 700 billion rubles of net profit.
