U.S. National Intelligence stated that during 2019, Russia can make more powerful cyberattacks and will likely use them against Ukraine.
U.S. National Intelligence Director Daniel Coats stated in his report, presented at the hearings in U.S. Senate Committee on Intelligence that during the next year, Russia will make more powerful cyberattacks and will likely use them against Ukraine, Correspondent reports quoting Ukrinform.
“At least, we expect that Russia will continue to use the propaganda, social media, proxies, speeches of speakers and other measures of influence to try to strengthen social and political impediments in the United States”, he said.
U.S. also forecasts that Russian intelligence services will continue to test out not only U.S. infrastructure and its ally countries, but also to strengthen misunderstandings between the United States, NATO and other partners of the country.
