The ban concerns only the discussion of working issues in messengers, it is not planned to punish for private correspondence, nation-news.ru reports, quoting Izvestiya newspaper.
The discussion of restricted information by the official via using popular messengers will become the reason for dismissal.
According to Izvestiya newspaper, in Russia the officials will be banned to use popular communication applications for discussing information, connected with service. In the meantime, the disciplinary measuresup to and including termination of employment will be applied to violators.
As it is noted, among the messengers, falling within the ban, are WhatsApp, Viber and Telegram.
According to newspaper’s data, the Federal Security Service will be placed in charge of drawing up of the relevant document. It is expected that the document with regulatory acts, regulating this issue, will be presented in the first quarter of the future year. It is also noted that the ban concerns only using messengers for discussing working issues, it will not extend over private correspondence.
