In spite of western sanctions, the Russian state companies and enterprises in the Crimea purchased software, produced by Microsoft Corp, Reuters agency reports quoting the information, obtained from official documents, EP reports.
As it was found out, RF and Crimean organizations, put under sanctions, purchased minimum 5 thousand Microsoft products for more than 60 million rubles.
The customers, among others, are the concern “Almaz-Antei”, which produces anti-aircraft system Buk, RF State Expert Evaluation Department, which participates in construction of a bridge through the Kerch Strait. They purchased Microsoft products with open license, which requires disclosing all customer’s banking details.
The received data testify that in all cases, the deliveries were made through third parties.
One of the sources said in the interview with Reuters that “if today we turn off all Microsoft software products in the Crimea, 90% of the peninsular economy will just stop”.
The agency applied for explanations to Microsoft itself. It stated that they are still studying deliveries about their products, evading sanctions.
